Peer through the window of an apparently empty shop to witness a magical transformation created by the latest digital technology with perhaps a nod in the direction of Charles Dickens…

A dusty shop filled with bric-a-brac by day, the Global Curiosity Shop comes alive at night as the interior is animated to tell the story of the global market. Slowly and gradually as darkness falls the objects one by one begin to spark into life, responding to the actions of the spectator with a fantastical display of what, by day, was unseen. The shop will be transformed through three-dimensional projections: films telling the story of the interconnectedness of the world today through colour, movement and stunning graphics.

Part of Brilliant, a commissioning strand funded by NewcastleGateshead Initiative and Northern Rock Foundation.
